Giger’s Alien Meets Darth Vader In This Helmet For Make-A-Wish:
The As You Wish Helmet Project is raking in all kinds of impressive helmet mods. We saw the Iron Fett helmet last week, and this time around we’re drooling over Thomas Spano’s twist on the Darth Vader bucket. He’s combined the Sith’s mask with H.R. Giger’s Alien, and it looks terrifying and awesome all at the same time. Seriously. The creativity and craftsmanship of this piece knocks my socks off.

I Can’t Process The Awesome That Is Handmade Game of Thrones Risk:
I can’t always wrap my head around the talent and creativity of geeks sometimes, and this is one of those times. Fay Helfer designed and made an achingly beautiful Game of Thrones version of Risk. It was made as a commission for Matt B. Dear Matt B.: We are all insanely jealous of you.
The surface of the board and the case appear to be made from wood that was hand carved and burned. I thought Westeros looked lovely as a 2D map, but this game board blows that out of the water. You can also see that there are fabric pouches included in the box; I just bet they hold equally impressive objects.
